

Allie Marion Horn, age 82, and James Edward Horn, age 91, had always said they were going to “enter the pearly gates together”. God granted them this wish, the desires of their hearts, and they went to Heaven only 47 hours apart.
Marion passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Marion was born at home (delivered in love by two neighbors) on Tuesday, March 21, 1939 in Shackle Island, Tennessee. Marion is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas Kemper, Sr. and Sadie Eidson Kemper; siblings, Dorothy Ennis, Jean Creekmore, and John T. Kemper, Jr. She is survived by her son, Timothy Neal Hartman (Cindy); sister, Marjorie Harmon, and brother, Donald Samuel Kemper (Sandy); 2 grandchildren, Leah Hartman and Savannah Boron; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jim passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. Jim was born at home on Thursday, September 26, 1929 in Nashville, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Louis Horn and Margaret Victoria Fowlkes; brother, Robert Louis Horn. He is survived by his 3 children: John L. Horn (Cindy), Victoria H. Brooks (Jackie), and David A. Horn; 4 grandchildren, Carrie Oglesby, Brandon Horn (Danielle), David Oglesby, Lindsey Moore; 7 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers (listed alphabetically) for Marion will be: Harold (Buck) Creekmore, Bill Ennis, Dan Hoehn, Donnie Kemper, John Darryl Kemper, Tommy Kemper, and Terry West (honorary).
Serving as pallbearers (listed alphabetically) for Jim will be: Bob Horn, Brandon Horn, Jacob Horn, Stan Lane, David Oglesby, Howell (Hal) Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers, Ted Jones, Larry McGee, Bob Roundtree, and Buddy Shaffer.
Come help us CELEBRATE these two “lovebirds” on Sunday, August 29th. Visitation is 1 pm - 3 pm with the Celebration of Life following immediately afterwards. Casual attire is encouraged.
