We offer our heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Mrs. Ruth Hobdy.  A wonderful influence on me during my formative years.  She will be remembered as a bastion of faith, a couragous and diligent servant of God.

Though I never had the privilege to know her personally, I have had the honor to know her through her son and my stepfather Dic.  My condolences go out to all the family and friends.

Dic, my sincerest condolences for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

My Aunt Ruth,helped raise me,took me to church, taught me a lot of right from wrong,I love her to this day. This will be a celebration of her 93 beautiful years on this terrible earth,because now we know she is in better hands.......

I am sending my sympathies to the Hobdy family at this time of loss.  I have many fond memories of growing up around Mrs. Hobdy at Fairview Baptist Church.  God bless your family.

I am very sorry for your loss. Ruth was a devout Christian lady and full of love. She was a great friend to my Mother, Louise Flynn. She is home with the Lord now and we shall meet again. love Barbara Flynn Bare

Mama Ruth helped raise me as a kid living down the street from her. I spent many a weekend in her home, sleeping on a fold-out couch w/her son, and my childhood friend, "Dickey."
I remember waffles and chocolate milk for Saturday breakfast. And the treat of a Coca-Cola in the afternoon. Most of all, though, I remember her love for Jesus, the Bible and her church. She also loved me.

I LOVED Mrs. Hobdy.  She used to cut my hair when I was young, before I moved with my family, Dr. Eldridge L. Miller and Jene, to Fairbanks, Alaska.  I would have loved to have known her all through my life as I remember her as such a kind and wonderful person.  I will be praying for the family in this time of your loss.  God bless you all.
