WAGGONER, Alvin Ellis, age 86 of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, died February 13, 2012. Preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Lillie Naïve Waggoner; sister, Sadye Skaggs; brothers, Chester, Roy, Herman, Melburn and Burnice Waggoner. He is survived by his wife of fifty six years Nellie Marie Darden Waggoner, sisters Dorothy Cummings and Marie Butterworth, both of Goodlettsville, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Waggoner was a dedicated farmer and spent his lifetime farming at his boyhood home. For many years, he enjoyed being a Davidson County school bus driver. Mr. Waggoner attended Whitworth Baptist Church. Funeral service will be conducted by Brother Larry McCauley and Brother Pete Darnell on Saturday, February 18, at 12:00, with visitation Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Whitworth Baptist Church, 3014 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN 37214.
