Ann Smith Hale

Ann Smith Hale, age 79 of Madison, TN passed away October 31, 2015. Ann was born November 25, 1935 to Joseph and Jessie Smith. Ann was a stay-at-home mom for many years and later worked for Woodlawn/Forest Lawn Funeral Home for 10 years. She also volunteered at Madison Hospital as a Chaplain for seven years and was a member of Neely’s Bend Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Hale and son Rocky Hale; brothers Jack, Harold and Pat Smith; and sisters Margaret Brown and Evelyn McGovern.

Survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Johnny) Keene of Gallatin, TN, Gayle (Bernie) Jernigan of Culpeper, VA and Evelyn (Tom) Sanders of Brentwood, TN; sister, Jean Wells and brothers, Clarence and Joe Smith; seven grandchildren: Joey (Lindsay) Jernigan, Stephen Jernigan, Alan (Samantha) Keene, Emily (Edgar) Reyes, Kristi (Justin) Peek, Evan Sanders and Kelsey (Zane) Sommers; and twelve great-grandchildren: Logan, Ella, Jackson, Isaac, Reed, Eden, Jacob, SarahElizabeth, Ryleigh, Emma, Noah and Zechariah.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, November 7th from 11:00 am until Noon with a Celebration of Life service at Noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Bernie Jernigan officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
