

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Rose Mowery; grandson, Sam Thomsen; and great-grandson, Charlie Palmer.
Betty enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of the Perry Hill Road Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL for 40 years before moving to be closer to family in Kentucky and embracing her new church family, the Lost River Church of Christ in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was a long-standing member of the New Era Club in Montgomery, AL, and over the years was involved in many volunteer roles in her community, wherever her life as an Air Force wife led her. She loved the Lord, she loved people, and she cherished the life that she was blessed with.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, John Burch; daughter and her husband, Sharon Thomsen and Larry; son and his wife, Dr. John T. Burch, II and Marla; grandchildren, Travis (Heather) Burch, Taylor (Katie) Burch, Marissa (Derrick) Palmer, Lindsay (Henry) Cooley, and Sara Thomsen; great-grandchildren, Davis Palmer, Lucy Palmer, Baby Boy Palmer (due June 2022) , Sawyer Burch, Hawkins Burch, Grace Cooley, Clara Cooley, and Madeline Cooley. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
A private family graveside service for Betty will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln., Nashville, TN 37221.
A Memorial Service for all in her former home in Montgomery, AL is being organized and will be announced shortly.
