

He is survived by his wife of 54+ years, Evelyn Flowers Fesmire; his daughter, Robyn Leigh Hill; sister, Joyce Leech (Bob); brother, Tommy Fesmire. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Thompsie Wesley and Pauline (Lunn) Fesmire; his brother, Harold L. Fesmire; his grand pugs: Ebony Leigh Hill and Ivory Snow Hill.
Bobby spent twenty years active duty in the USAF working in Communications mostly outside the USA and received several commendation medals. Following his military career, he earned a BA from David Lipscomb University and MS from Vanderbilt. Then he worked at Spencer Youth Center until he was employed with the Veteran’s Administration retiring after twelve years.
He enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, story telling (often animated), country and blue grass music, cooking and charcoal grilling and walking. His uncanny “Bob F” quotes evoked much laughter and smiles!
Bobby was a member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072 and Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Rusty Anderson officiating at the funeral home. A military burial will follow 1:00 PM at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln., Nashville, TN 37221.
