Charles E. Gann

Charles E. (Charlie) Gann - 77 years young, took the hand of his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 5th 2012 and entered into eternal life. Born in Friday, January 25, 1935 in Goodlettsville, TN to the late Charles Edward and Lola Marie Isabelle Gann, he was a faithful member of Lights Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by Billie Ann (Sloan) Gann, his loving wife of 60 years. Also 3 wonderful daughters he called them my girls, Teresa (Dickie) Lain, Charley (Keith) Kirby and Vicki (Jenner) Bennett. Two grand children Lacy (Joe) Henry and Nicole (Kevin) Fink and 8 beautiful great grand children.

His passion was Drag Racing and riding his Harley Davidson, the love of the two sports kept him young for many years. A metro warrant officer for more than 14 years and 6 years with the Sheriff’s Department, he retired in 1996.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Lain, Keith Kirby, Jenner Bennett, Joe Henry, Kevin Fink, Randy Mitchell and Danny Crabtree. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Robert Pilkinton, Bob Frensley, Bill Grigsby and members of Lights Chapel Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home located at 1150 South Dickerson Road in Goodlettsville TN, Sunday, October 7th 2012 from 1:00 until 8:00pm. and Monday, October 8th 2012 from 10:00 until 2:00pm with services to follow and words of comfort by Brother Johnnie Godwin.
