Age 91, went to be with the Lord, April 30, 2014.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Edna Leona Light; daughter, Doris Jean Pardue.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherry (Terry) Dowlen and Kaye (Danny) Parker; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters.
Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After service he started driving trucks. He retired from Yellow Freight after 52 years hauling freight. He was a member of Hendersonville Church of Christ.
A Celebration of Charles' Life will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Forest Lawn Chapel with Brother Keith Parker officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and 1 hour prior to the service Friday.
