Cheri Lea Pillow

Cheri Lea Pillow died Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Charter Senior Living Facility, where she had been since November of 2025. Her dog, Rocky and her lifelong friend, Donna Dickens, were by her side. Cheri lived in Madison, TN, over 70 years where she grew up, and was a graduate of Maplewood High School, Class of 1966. She worked for AT&T, formerly Bell South and South-Central Bell for over thirty years and was quick to remind you of the name changes when asked where she had worked. Cheri loved dogs, and ten-year-old Rocky, her Yorkshire Terrier, was her constant companion until her death. She loved to travel and made many trips with her Aunt Lib’s family to Hawaii, Alaska, Florida and California. She leaves her dearest cousin Ernie Templeton and his wife, Nancy of Benicia, Calif., their (3) children, David, Douglas, and Candice, and her aunt Tillie Crockett of Silver Point, TN. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clara Margaret and Henry Lepley, and her aunt, Elizabeth Knickerbocker. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff at Adoration Hospice. They helped Cheri stay at her home during her battle with dementia and cancer. Also, staff at Charter Senior Living provided additional living arrangements necessary during her last several months. A visitation service for family and friends will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville, TN on 28 March 2026 at 10AM.
