He and his wife, Doris were very loyal to their grandchildren's sports and often would travel to their games. He graduated from North High School. He was a Christian and a devoted member of the Walkers United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville.
Preceded in death by his wife of almost 62 years, Doris Myers; parents, Hershel and Eva Myers; brother James Myers; sisters, Mildred Dillard, Juanita Hunter and Nancy Hollis.
Mr. Myers is survived by his daughter, Lisa Myers; sons, Thomas Myers and wife, Kelly and Jim Myers and wife, Julie; grandchildren, Summer and Paxton Peters, Spencer and Dustin Johnson, Lauren and Zach Ehrhart, Ethan Myers, and Gavin Myers; great-grandchild, Eva Johnson; sisters, Martha Bracey and Gail Foster. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
A gathering of family and friends for Dorris will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, followed by a celebration of life service at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be, Ben Patton, Paxton Peters, Patrick Sweeney, Zach Ehrhart, Ethan Myers, Gavin Myers, and Dustin Johnson.
