Emily was a devoted daughter to her Mother and Father, taking loving care of them though the years.
She and her Parents moved into their home in 1950 and Emily lived there until recently when her health started to decline. It was a home that welcomed her Nephews and Cousins to come pick pears from the pears trees in the backyard to take home and make pear preserves or visiting her Father’s workshop to see what project He was currently involved.
She had a strong independent personality, that believed that She could tackle any project and would turn down offers of help, but was a smart women knowing when She needed assistance and She would accept it graciously.
Emily started a long career at DuPont in Old Hickory after High School and a longtime member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church.
The Family would also like to thank her neighbor, Kevin Spencer, who was always there to offer her a helping hand and also to Alive Hospice of Nashville for the loving care She received.
