Helen Pauline Bentley age 79 passed way Friday, May 23, 2014. Born Tuesday, July 17, 1934 in Pocatalico, West Virginia, she is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Gertrude Jones Monk; husband Joseph Daniel Bentley; daughter, Jo Ann Glasgow; son, Joseph Bentley, Jr.
Mrs. Bentley is survived by her children, Jimmy (Virginia) Pratt, Danny (Barbara) Bentley, William (Pat) Bentley, Jerry Bentley, Sherry (Larry) Brewer, Diane (Larry) Kephart, Eddie (Kathy) Bentley, Helen (Ken) Askins, Janice Neely; sister, Erma (Joe) Oyer; 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; companion, Barbara Cheek.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Dr. Mike Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons; James Bentley, Jacob Bentley, Michael Morris, Nick McCluskey, TIm Battle, Auston Cothron wil serve as pallbearers.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Bentley at a visitation Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 2:00 until 9:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 11520 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
