Born in New Hampshire, to the late James and Yvonne Vanasse, Henri is also preceded in death by his “better half” of 64 years, Celeste; his sister Irene Howard and many extended family. He is survived by his daughter Cheryl Frazier of Nashville; his son Marty Vanasse (Penny) of La Vergne, TN; cherished granddaughter Misti Hooper (Marcus); precious great-grandsons Henri Lukas & Nikolas Foster; sisters Alice Prasch (George) and Doris Foley of New Hampshire; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Henri proudly served in the United States Air Force before working at Ford Glass Plant in Nashville, where he was known as “Yankee”. Henri was highly skilled with woodworking and spent his spare time building intricate “whirligigs” that amazed his family & friends. He enjoyed watching old western movies, working in the yard and spending time with his family. Known to be able to fix everything and figure anything out, many called on Henri for help. Affectionately known as “Da”, Henri lived a grateful and generous life, with an open door to anyone.
