Horace P. Mix - age 90 passed away November 24, 2011. A WWII Army veteran, he is preceded in death by his parents Muriel and Theresa Copeland Mix; brothers Ronald and Larry Mix; daughter Wanda June Hunter and son Robert Merle Mix.
He served as minister at Beaver Dam, Bedford, Chapel Hill, Piney River and Millersville Churches of Christ in Tennessee and various churches in KY, MS and AR.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, June Marie Mix; daughter Theresa (Calvin) Grant; son Horace Glen (Kathy) Mix; brother Almon Mix; grandchildren Stacy Pylant, Trina Jackson, Jason Love, Linda Summers, Juanita Blaylock, Jesse Hunter, Michelle Wright, Greg Mix, Travis Mix; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Monday November 28, 2011 with visitation Sunday November 27, 2011 from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
