

James David King, age 71, of White Bluff, Tennessee, passed away on May 6, 2026. Born on August 10, 1954, James will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a hardworking man who dedicated his life to caring for his family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Juanita and Harold Otis King, Sr.; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maxine Rose and Wilford Lee Williams, Sr.; his brother, Harold Otis King, Jr.; his sisters, Dorothy Littlefield, Mary Generuex, and Doris Marie King; his brothers-in-law, Robert Generuex, Wilford Lee Williams, Jr., and Henry Edison; and his nephew, Christopher Scott King, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances “Polly” King; his daughter, Kristi King; his sons, Adam (Corey) King and Marc (Catherine) King; his grandchildren, Kiana King, Gavin King, Gage King, and Sydney King; Chele King-Stiltner; his brother, Larry (Donna) King; his sisters, Peggy Edison and Pat (Carl) Myers; along with several nieces and nephews.
James met the love of his life, Frances, at Cantrell’s Exxon, and from that moment on, the two shared a love story that lasted a lifetime. They were married on March 9, 1972, and built a life together centered around love, hard work, and family.
A dedicated worker from a young age, James began installing air conditioners with his uncle when he was just 13 years old. He later spent many years driving a wrecker before beginning a career as an 18-wheeler driver in 1982. He continued driving trucks until his retirement in 2022, taking pride in providing for his family through decades of honest work.
More than anything, James was a family man. He was a great father who loved his family deeply and worked tirelessly to give them a good life. Those who knew him will remember his strong work ethic, his devotion to the people he loved, and the steady presence he brought to those around him.
