

VICKERS, Joe Thomas Age 78 of Goodlettsville. April 10, 2010. Preceded in death by wife, Mary Catherine Vickers November 12, 2008; brother, Herman Vickers. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Lynn Cook; brother, Jerry (Mary Nell) Vickers; sisters, Sue (Max) Elkins and Patsy (Pete) Martin; grandchildren, Lyndsey (Eric) Kuhl, Clint Cook and McCall Cook; great grandchildren, Caden and Cooper Kuhl. Bro. Joe accomplished so much in his life, to mention a few, he attended Ole Miss; he was a graduate of Bethel College; he was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army; he was Pastor of Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church for 35 years; Founder of The Enrichment Foundation; a member of the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge and a Shriner, serving as Chaplain for Al Menah seven years. Bro. Joe touched so many lives and was respected and loved by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life service will be held 12 noon, Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the Joe Vickers Activity Building, Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. DeWayne Tyus, Rev. Ronnie Pittinger, Rev. Bud Russell, Rev. Larry Guin and Rev. Kevin Medlin officiating. Brenda Walker bringing the Euology. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Clint and McCall Cook, Arthur Irvin, Nick Baird, Mac Vickers, Jerry Vickers, Jay Hager, Kerry Bateman, Jimmy Moore and Emmis Hunter. Honorary Pallbearers will be The Covenant Class, Nashville Presbytery ministers and wives and the New Horizon Class. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bethel College Ministerial Scholarship Fund; Saint Jude Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald House or charity of choice. Visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home will be Monday from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. til 12 noon at the Joe Vickers Activity Building.
