John is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Collins; son, Daniel (Lisa) Collins; daughters, Karen (Jimmy) Tindall, Cheryl (Mark) Hollingshead; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-granchildren.
John served as a medic in the US Air Force.
A Celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, October 28, at 2 pm, at Empowered Ministries Church, 1415 Hwy. 70, in Dickson, TN, with pastor Mike Jennette officiating. The family requests no flowers.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, Novemeber 20, at 2 pm, at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
