John Herman Hyder, Jr., age 57, of Springfield, passed away September 21, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, John Herman Hyder, Sr. John is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Dianne Hyder; mother, Tawanda Hyder; step-children, Shaun and Shelly Walls; grand children, Logan and Conner; brothers, Troy, Jagada, Monty, Robert and Jason; sister-in-law, Annette Padgett; mother-in-law, Louise Street.
John was a kid at heart. He loved the holiday's, especially Halloween and Christmas. He loved to dress up at Halloween and Santa for Christmas. He loved playing music at a high volume. One of his favorite pass times was getting into Sci-Fi and anything to do with Dragons.
There will be a Celebration of John's Life 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Eastland Funeral Home Chapel with Tommy Jones officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. The interment will take place 10 a.m. Thursday at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are his five brothers and nephew, Danny. Honorary pallbearers are Shaun Walls and Timothy Watson.
