Joy Alene Luster Talley age 85 passed away December 23, 2018. Identical twin sister to Joyce Luster Webb was truly a lady in every sense of the word. She loved her family dearly and gave her heart and soul to them her entire life. She was of fine moral character, very solid law-abiding citizen and loved the Lord and Connell Memorial United Methodist Church.
She baby sat for cousins when she was young and helped them when they had babies. She worked for hours on end making items, whether it be sewing or cooking/ baking, for example whenever Connell Memorial UMC had a bazaar each year. She baked as many years as she was able for the UMW bake sale each year. All these things she did from the hear to honor God and help Connell UMC Memorial.
She was positively her niece's, Barbara Black's "other mother," she loved Barbara so very much and was an excellent role model for her and tried to guide her in the right direction always. She loved Barbara, and all of her family unconditionally.
Joy was so strong in overcoming health issues: She was a Breast Cancer survivor, survived a pit bull attack at 80 years old, several small (not mini) strokes, six (6) major falls, a brain aneurysm, and six (6) things wrong with her heart including but not limited to, Congestive Heart Failure and A-Fib.
Though she is at peace with God now, and no longer suffering, she will be greatly missed.
