Kenneth M. Giles

Kenneth M. Giles, age 72, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Born Wednesday, December 24, 1941 in Hayti, Missouri, he is preceded in death by his parents, William Hollis Giles and Demetra Garner Giles Loggins, and his wife, of 51 years, L. Jane Giles.

Mr. Giles worked for Davis Cabinet Company before retiring as a meat cutter with Jerry's Bi Rite, Cee Bee's and various other grocers and then Canteen Vending; he was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Mr. Giles is survived by his children, Laura (Tamble) Leighton, Monica (Keith) Escue, Jeff (Yvonne) Giles; step-mother, Doris Giles, brothers, Bill Giles, Andy (Valerie) Giles; 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Tamble, Kayla, Ryan, Lauren, Vincent, Ken, Nikki, Brooke, and 13 great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Ashlyn, Kody, Lexi, Parker, Cooper, Peyton, Nyhla Jane, Dominick, Liam, Daniel, Chase and Sydney.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted 2:00 Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Rick Sims officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Fred Wikowsky, Ralph Stacey, Bobby Huff, Ernie Hickman, Grant Padgett, and Steve Shumake.

Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Giles at visitation Friday, December 19, 2014 from 2:00 until 8:00 and Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 12:00 until the 2:00 service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Road Goodlettsville, TN.
