Lena Mary Doss, age 97 passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024. Lena was born in Liberty, Tennessee Tuesday, March 1, 1927 and is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mattie Driver Vanatta; son, John Spurlock; brothers, Johnny and Hoover Vanatta.
She was a member of Rivergate Church of Christ in Madison, Tennessee she was a strong Christian woman that loved and cherished the Lord, her family and her friends. She is survived by her children, Charles (Faye) Spurlock, Glen (Angela) Doss; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Lena will be Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday, March 7, 2027 from 12:00 to 2:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, Tennessee.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Bro. Doug Tooley officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Garden of The Last Supper. Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Spurlock, Jeff Spurlock, Philip Spurlock, Jay Spurlock, Daniel Gentry and Tony Smith.
