She was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Patterson and Dorothy Holt Patterson; her brother, Harold Patterson; and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda Cordell.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bill Cordell; her sons, Jeff (Lori) Cordell and Steve Cordell; her brothers, Jack (Necie) Patterson and Herbert Patterson; and her sister at heart, Joyce Patterson. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Jane Ann (Cory) Sullins, Brice (Lauren) Cordell, Jordan Cordell, and Drake Cordell, as well as seven great-grandchildren whom she adored. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born in Nashville, Ann attended Litton High School before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she graduated from Deer Park High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Bill, beginning a marriage that would span nearly seven decades and serve as a lasting example of devotion and love.
After raising her sons, Ann worked alongside her family and brothers at State Farm Insurance. She was an incredibly talented seamstress and an even more remarkable cook, known for filling her home with warmth, comfort, and delicious meals. Above all, she loved to spoil her family.
Ann was a devoted Christian and a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a longtime member of Inglewood Baptist Church and Goodlettsville First Baptist Church. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, reflected in her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for others. She was a caregiver in every sense of the word—selfless, loyal, and deeply devoted to those she loved.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Connell Memorial United Methodist Church or the Goodlettsville Help Center.
