Linda Gail Brooks

August 23 1948 - March 16 2022

On Wednesday March 16, 2022 at her home since the 70’s in Hendersonville, Linda age 73, went to meet her Savior. Linda had many talents. She played piano and sang for many years at church. She worked administratively for many years with Allinder Plumbing company in Nashville where her organizational and bookkeeping skills were lauded. She was a member of Hendersonville Chapter #477 Order of Eastern Star and served several stations. She served as Worthy Matron in 1996. She was appointed Grand Representative in Tennessee to Quebec in 1998 for a 3 year appointment. Linda loved shopping with her friends, especially for costume jewelry. Linda loved the holidays and celebrations with her family. Linda was a long-time member of Center Point Church. Linda tragically lost her only daughter, Cindy Stewart Elliott to breast cancer in 2009. Just 5 years later in 2014 she would mourn the loss of Cindy’s dad James Stewart to Pancreatic Cancer. Linda was very close to her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Reynolds Walker and her father Richard Ewing Walker. Her brothers, George (Jack) Walker, Robert Walker, Bennie Walker and Larry Walker. She is survived by her husband, Garland Brooks, her grandson Spencer Elliott, her sister Karlie Kee (Robert Young), Her sister in law Dot Walker, and many nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Colby Kee, Collin Kee, Jake Berisa, Jack Tipton, Clay Carnahan, and Derrick Free. Visitation with the family will be held on March 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Service will begin at 2:00 PM followed by burial at 3:00 PM. Pastor Mike Trotter will be officiating.
