Preceded in death by first husband, Dexter D. Alley; second husband, Melvin McCrellis; and son, James Daryl Alley.
Survived by children, Billy (Jane) Alley, Vicki (Jerry) Light, and Patsy (Chuck) Thornton; grandchildren, Sam (Beth) Thornton, Meg (Donnie) Hibdon, Ben (Leann) Thornton; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Bailey, Braden Thornton, Alley and Gracie Hibdon, and "soon-to-be" Sadie Grace Thornton; and sister, Virginia Sawyer.
Margaret retired after years of service from the U.S. Postal Service, specifically the Madison Post Office.
The family will gather with friends for a time of remembrance and visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Thursday evening.
A private graveside service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
