

WAGGONER, Margaret Elizabeth O'Connell - Age 98 of Goodlettsville, TN. Died July 21, 2011. She was born May 25, 1913, the daughter of the late Wiyley D. O'Connell and the late Mary Jane Cuffman O'Connell. Preceded in death by her husband Chester Wilton Waggoner, her sister Rebecca Brown, and her brothers Wiyley E. O'Connell, George O'Connell and Douglas O'Connell. She is survived by daughter Marjorie Nance and son Colonel Mike (Dixie) Waggoner, both of Goodlettsville, Grandchildren Michael (Kari) Waggoner of Nashville, Jamie (Jane) Nance of Trenton, TN, Ken (Jan) Nance of Clarksville, TN, Jon (Brenda) Nance of Rincon, GA, Anita (Weldon) Akins of Gallatin, TN, Eleven great grandchildren, Five great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and was an institution in her neighborhood, loving her church, family, home, cooking, and watching Tennessee Titan and University of Tennessee football. She was the last surviving member of the Goodlettsville High School Class of 1931. Visitation will be held Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at Forest Lawn, and 1 hr. prior to the service on Monday at the church. Services will be conducted by Rev. Ed Pugh and Rev. Bill Roark at Walkers United Methodist Church, Goodlettsville, TN at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2011. Burial at Forest Lawn.
