Marie A. Hamsley, 91, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Born Friday, December 22, 1922 in Union City, TN she is preceded in death by her parents, George and Florence Arrington and husband G. T. Hamsley.
Mrs. Hamsley was a member of Faith Baptist Church; she worked for Castner Knott Department Stores, National Life & Accident Insurance Company and Robertson County Schools.
Mrs. Hamsley is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Wayne) Harkreader, Edyth Childress; grandchildren, Tani Sherman, Cindy Ethridge, John Webb, Traci Tidwell, Niki Celis; 7 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be conducted 10:00 Friday, November 7, 2014 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Hamsley at a visitation Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN 37072
