Martha Lou Gholson, age 89, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Martha was born Tuesday, November 14, 1933 in Quality, Kentucky and is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Compton Givens and Maude Lee Givens; husband of 62 years, Clayton Gholson; son-in-law, Gilbert Drake.
A home maker who enjoyed sewing, cooking and family, was a member of Goodlettsville Church of Christ, she is survived by her daughters, Sabrina Shaw, Dana (Eddie) McKenzie, Janet Drake; sister, Susan Wilson; brother, Don Givens; grandchildren, Wendy Louvin-Lindsay, Luke Shaw, Wyatt Shaw, Clayton McKenzie, Amanda Henke, Hannah Drake McKee, Leah Drake Shrader; great-grandchildren, Roman Shaw, Madeline Shaw, Killian Shaw, Luca Shaw, Khole Henke, McKenzie Henke, Davy McKee, Charlie McKee, Beau Shrader, Harper James Shrader.
A visitation for Martha will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be conducted Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:00 PM, with Bro. Jimmy Bunch officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Garden of Devotion with Clayton McKenzie, D J Henke, Luke Shaw, Wyatt Shaw, Luke McKee and Christian Sharder serving as pallbearers
