

Mary Louise Carver of Madison, TN passed into Heaven on 2/23/2013. Born 11/10/1919 to W.A. Edwards and wife Elizabeth (Reed) of Murfreesboro, TN. She is predeceased by husband Claude Carver; parents; 7 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by children - Stan (Judy) Carver of Gallatin, Dianne Porter (Doug York) of Franklin, and Ken (Pam) Carver of White House; 7 grandchildren; Amy (Jon) Smithson of Hendersonville, Shane (Megan) Carver of Christiansburg, VA, Kyle (Baranda) Porter of Murfreesboro, Nicolas (Amanda) Carver of Lynchburg, VA, Whitney Porter of Franklin, Kenny (fiancée Alisha Baize) Carver of Nashville, Kelsey Carver of White House; 12 great-grandchildren; brother – Clarence Edwards of Nashville, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was retired from the Nashville - Metro school system where she had worked for 20 years in the cafeteria of Stratton Elementary School. Mom loved her church, family, and cats (Bootie and Molly). She will be remembered for her love of the grandkids, loyalty to family and friends, and her home cooking. There was no problem or illness that could not be made better by sitting down to one of her home cooked meals. She endured a myriad of health problems over the last three years with never a complaint and toughness consistent with her generation. The family requests that any remembrances be made to the charity of your choice. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM, with visitation Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.
