Minta C. Jackson

Minta Chandley Story Jackson passed away in her home on December 8, 2020. She was born May 25, 1924 to parents Ivie Mae Gilliam Chandley and Edward L Chandley, Sr. She is survived by her daughter Deborah Locke (Mike) of Old Hickory, TN, her grandson Christopher Locke (Brandi) and two great grandchildren Michael Locke and Morgan Locke, of Springfield, TN., her brother Edward L. Chandley, Jr. of Brentwood, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John D. Story and Thomas S. Jackson, her son John Dudley Story and her sisters Margaret Doris, Jean George Brown, and Ann Reeves.

Minta worked as an interior designer and was still working a month before her passing. She held her real estate license for several years. Over the years she enjoyed the Hendersonville Garden Club, teaching Sunday school, Girl Scout leader, Brandywine Women’s Club and being “Great” to her two great-grandchildren. She loved being surrounded by her family and friends and hosted many fun gatherings.

A Celebration of Life of will be conducted Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 1:00 in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens 1150 South Dickerson Pike Goodlettsville, Tennessee

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude Hospital.
