Paul J. Stone

A twin, he was born on February 9, 1935 in Monoville, Tennessee to Isham and Vetress Stone. He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Stone, parents, two sisters, and twin brother. Two surviving brothers, Julian Stone and Bill Stone.

Paul married Shirley Stewart on April 25,1958. He is also survived by two sons, Tommy (Donna) Stone and Marty (Cindy) Stone, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Paul retired from DuPont in Old Hickory, Tennessee in 1987 where he was a carpenter. He could fix almost anything and in his younger years loved working on Volkswagen Beetles.

He was a Deacon and faithful church member who sang in the choir and also drove a bus to bring people to church for many years. He never met a stranger and loved handing out gospel tracts to speak to others about the Lord.

Paul will be remembered for his love for the Lord, family, and others. He loved life, had a good sense of humor, and was known as a very giving person.

A graveside service for Paul will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Lloyd Johnson will read the obituary and prayer, and Pastor Charles Specht will be delivering the message.
