Robert Frank Copeland II was born March 28, 1941 in Nashville, TN to parents Robert Frank Copeland Sr. and Anne Elizabeth Copeland. He was a curious boy and an amazingly talented artist that received a scholarship to art school. However, instead of pursuing his art career, Robert decided to marry the love of his life, Mary Copeland, on January 16, 1962. The two were married for an incredible 60 years and remain an example of true love for their entire family. Dedicated, hardworking, loyal, lighthearted, and happy-go-lucky are all words you could use to describe Robert. If you had the pleasure of knowing him, you know he could make you instantly laugh with one comment or funny remark. He would start giggling at himself the moment he even thought of something to aggravate Mary or another target in the family. He was also an incredible salesman and earned the top salesperson award for Home Beneficial Life Insurance company for 27 years in a row. Robert was a devoted husband, caring father, and fun-loving grandfather and great-grandfather. On December 15, 2022 he went to be with the Lord in heaven.
Robert is preceded by his parents Robert and Elizabeth, as well as his brothers Paul and Donnie.
He is survived by his wife Mary Copeland, his children Bobby Copeland (Patty) and Michelle Miles (Stinker), his grandchildren Amber Crews (Bryson), Josh Kent (Bonnie), Autumn Copeland (Bailee), and Sierra Oakley (Christian), as well as his 6 great grandchildren. Robert's one-of-a-kind personality and generous spirit will never be forgotten by those who both knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be conducted 12pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
