In loving memory of Ruby Helen Vick, affectionately known as Granny Ruby. A remarkable woman whose strength and work ethic left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She is the matriarch of her family, Ruby was  a hardworking woman; she was the embodiment of resilience and determination. I have fond memories of visiting her on Tampa Drive, where she would tirelessly tend to her home and Flower gardens.

I'll never forget the sight of Granny Ruby, armed with her big Michael Myers knife, trimming away at the grass with unwavering dedication. She had a work ethic that was second to none, and she refused to let anyone outwork her. Whether it was mowing the grass or rearranging her furniture, she tackled every task with a determination that was truly remarkable.

Even as she worked tirelessly, Granny Ruby never asked for help, preferring to take on challenges head-on. She was a symbol of strength and self-reliance, and her determination served as an example for us all. She never accepted defeat and would often outwork those half her age, proving that age was just a number when it came to her dedication.

What set Granny Ruby apart, aside from her incredible work ethic, was her unmatched sense of humor. She had a way of brightening up any room with her infectious laughter and quick wit. Her ability to find joy in the simple moments of life was truly inspiring.

Ruby had a passion for life that was infectious. She embraced every moment with enthusiasm, finding joy in the simplest of pleasures. Her laughter was a melody that brightened even the darkest of days, and her zest for life was a constant reminder to us all to cherish the beauty in every day. 

As we say our final goodbyes to Ruby, let us not dwell on the loss we feel but instead remember the incredible gift of her presence in our lives. She has left us with a legacy of love, kindness, and resilience that will continue to inspire us for generations to come.
