Ruth Lee Sharp

Loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered fondly by her church family as a long-time member of Believer’s Baptist. She was also a dedicated employee for 40 years with Wertham Industries from 1956 until 1996.

Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Evie Lee Wilkerson; sisters, Anne Pauline Timbs and Evie Sue Garrison; brothers, Robert Gray Wilkerson and William Allen Wilkerson; and grandson, Chris Sharp.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward Sharp, Sr.; sons , Edward Sharp, Jr. and his wife Susan, and Michael Sharp and his wife Pam; and grandchildren, Josh, Cindi, Kari, and Emily Sharp.

Also survived by her loving sister, Mary Jones; and brother, Larry Wilkerson; and family members, Jean Wright and James Wilburn Wilkerson.

The family will gather with friends for a time of visitation and remembrance on Sunday at Eastland Funeral Home from four o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, and again on Monday morning two hours before the time of service beginning at ten o’clock.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at twelve noon on Monday, January 19, 2015 in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Tim Rayborn.

Interment immediately following by escorted procession to Woodlawn Memorial Park.
