

Samuel Brown, age 89, passed into Heaven Saturday, October 22, 2016. He was born Saturday, October 22, 1927 in Sumner, Washington; he is preceded in death by his parents, Matilda Martin and Samuel T. Brown and by his daughter, Sharon Brown.
Mr. Brown served six years in the US Navy; and retired from Peterbilt Motors after 36 years; he was a Member of Long Hollow Baptist Church and the Rudy Lindsey Sunday School Class, Gideon International. Although he did not have a hobby, Mr. Brown loved sharing Christ and collecting belt buckles from all 50 states, (some 300).
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mildred Brown, children, Shirley (Dale) Smith, Samuel (Kimberly) Brown, Rhonda Brown; three grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Samuel Brown, John Brown.
A celebration of life will be conducted 12:00 Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Long Hollow Baptist Church, 3031 Long Hollow Pike Hendersonville, Tennessee with Pastor Andrew Bolton officiating. Burial with Navy Honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Dylan Smith, Samuel Brown, John Brown, Chad Burroughs, Brad Burroughs, and Tim Bowles. Honorary will be the Rudy Lindsey Sunday School Class of Long Hollow Baptist Church.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Brown at a visitation Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 4:00 until 7:00 and one hour prior to the service at Long Hollow Baptist Church 3031 Long Hollow Pike Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075
