

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Sheila Anderson Shell. She was born on August 5, 1961, in Crossville, TN and was most recently living in Goodlettsville TN. She left this world on February 7, 2026, at the age of 64. Sheila was beloved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sheila was the cherished daughter of Ralph and Patricia Anderson. She is survived by her devoted husband Mark Shell, with whom she shared 29 wonderful years, her loving daughter Maya (Bradley) Hardin, her son Chance (Ari) Shell, and her mother, Patricia Anderson. She also leaves behind her brother Michael (Kristy) Anderson, her supportive mother-in-law Bette Shell, her sister-in-law Karen (James) Crouch, her brother-in-law Kevin Shell, her Nephews and Nieces Jacob Shell / Kourtney and Kassidy Crouch / Kimberly (Ryan) Williamson / Ashley (Bryce) Hall / Sarah Anderson along with many great nephews and nieces, her Aunts and Uncles Betty Hargis / Sara Anderson / Bill (Janet) Anderson / Carol Lewis. Sheila was preceded in death by her father-in-law Gerald Lynwood Shell and her father Ralph Anderson who always held a special place in her heart.
Throughout her life, Sheila was known for her unwavering devotion to her husband and family. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched everyone she encountered. She had a deep love for her personal Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her faith guided her through every season of life. Sheila’s warm personality could brighten even the heaviest of hearts.
She enjoyed many hobbies, including singing and playing in her high school band for four years, crafting, gardening, bird watching, and cheering for the Tennessee Volunteers. Sheila was a true friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear or a helping hand in any way possible. She had very special relationships with Debbie (Jeff) Cunningham, Ronda (Jim) Ruane, Cathy (Mike) Lerman, and her good friend who preceded her in death Donna Bennett.
Sheila graduated from Farragut High School and attended East Tennessee State University (ETSU).Professionally, Sheila had a fulfilling career where she spent 30 years in insurance working both as an independent contractor and as an employee of major corporations with dedication to both clients and employees which allowed her to touch the lives of many people. She was respected and admired by her colleagues, who appreciated her work ethic and dedication.
Despite the challenges she faced, Sheila met each day with courage and grace—a testament to her resilient spirit.

Sheila will forever be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the love she shared with all those around her. We have comfort in knowing that she had faith in Jesus she is now in his loving arms and was greeted by many amazing friends and family members that preceded her in death. May she rest in peace, knowing the impact she made on this world and in the hearts of those who loved her. We look forward to seeing her again!
