

Thomas William Cooper, age 75, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013. Born Saturday, March 27, 1937 in Poplar, North Carolina, he is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dora Bryant Cooper; sisters, Helen Kistner, Mildred Presnell; brothers, Arnold and Clarence Cooper; granddaughter, Holly Tisdale.
A great husband, father, and grandfather who loved to devote time to his grandchildren pulling them around in the red wagon or riding them on the mower and he enjoyed NASCAR. He worked as a welder for Nashville Bridge Company for 20 years and Equity Group for 15 years before retiring to enjoy his family.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy Smith Cooper; daughters, Connie (David) Hargiss, Debbie Cooper; sons, Randy (Deleen) Cooper, Ken (Barbara) Cooper; sisters, Bonnie Delffs, Edith Mildred, Fannie Rector, Phyllis Visnick; brothers, Ed Cooper, Jay Smith; grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Adam, Hannah, Reagan, David; great-granddaughters, Jayden and Ella; and his very faithful companion Tobie.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2013 in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Bro. David Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dale Mahoney, Sean Mahoney, Josh Tisdale, Jason Tisdale, David Lamey, Chris Jones.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mr. Cooper at a visitation Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 1:00 until 8:00 and Sunday, February 17, 2013 from 2:00 until 5:00 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 South Dickerson Rd. Goodlettsville, TN 37072.
