

Beverly (Bev) was born on July 12, 1947 in Bismarck, N.D. to Emil and Florence (Schmidt) Kepplin. She was raised in Glen Ullin, N.D. She was a big sister to Julie, who joined the family in 1954. In 1965, Bev graduated from Glen Ullin High School. She attended Dickinson State College and graduated in 1969 with a major in Elementary Education. She taught in Robinson, N.D. and Hebron, N.D.
She married Donald (Don) Sattler on May 29, 1971. They resided in Bismarck, N.D. and Maple Grove, MN. before settling in Goodyear, AZ.
While in Bismarck, Bev had various jobs and ultimately worked in the office for the guidance counselors of Bismarck High School. She thoroughly enjoyed forming relationships with the faculty and students.
Her family and her friends were a top priority for her. Those who were close to her could count on receiving greeting cards for every occasion! She was a very proud and generous aunt for her nephews, great nephew and great niece.
Bev and Don had a shared pastime and were active participants in the SCCA in Bismarck, Maple Grove and Phoenix. She served as a safety steward for those local organizations and was awarded commendation for her dedication to this position of responsibility.
Bev is survived by her husband, her sister Julie (Monte) Klein, nephews Christopher Klein and Jonathan (Marie) Klein, her great nephew Jack Klein, great niece Julia Klein, life long friend Barbara Ding, cousin Bill (Peggy) Schmidt, Michael Brunelle (cousin Candy's spouse), cousin Nancy Moore and Don's numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev is preceded in death by her parents, her grand parents Magdalena and William Schmidt and Marie and John Kepplin, her cousins Candy Brunelle and Diane Boschee and her beloved cat, Kitty.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 26, 2026 from 10-10:30 AM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ. Her service will be at 10:30. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road in Avondale, AZ. at 1 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Checks should be made payable to “Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.”
