

Clarice Elizabeth King, 57, of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025. She was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and made her home in Buckeye, where she worked as a dedicated bus driver for the Buckeye Union High School District.
Clarice was a woman of endless creativity and compassion. She had a huge array of crafty hobbies and spent countless joyful hours crafting dollhouses, collecting/dressing barbies and coloring with her grandchildren, friends and anyone lucky enough to share her company. She was an amazing cook, a lover of reading and meaningful conversation. She was happiest surrounded by her family and those she loved.
Anyone who knew Clarice knew the depth of her kindness. She had an open heart and an open home—always ready to offer comfort, laughter and love. She was a safe place for so many and left a lasting imprint on the hearts of everyone she met.
Clarice is preceded in death by her brother David Richey Jr. and her son Joe King Jr. She is survived by her mom Linda Dawson, her dad David Richey, her husband Joe King, her sister and family, her children Modesta Deluna and Rusty King (Ashley) and her cherished grandchildren Anntoinette Deluna Kinsey King, Emily King and Everett King. She is also survived by many sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Clarice’s warmth and love will continue to shine through those she touched. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
