

Edward Charles Weishaar passed away on May 25, 2025, in Litchfield Park, AZ. He was born September 13, 1939, in Atchison, KS to Ben and Mary (Barry) Weishaar. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bobbie Weishaar, his brother Bernard, and his sister Margaret Compton. He is survived by his longtime companion, Martha Henley, his brother Kenny, his sister Imogene Bertels, his five sons, Ted, Bill, Paul, Tim and Brian, and nine grandchildren.
At the time of his passing, Ed was attended by Martha, and his sons.
Ed grew up in Nortonville, KS, earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Benedictine College in Atchison KS, served in the US Army in Panama, and lived his adult life in Denver, CO. He married Bobbie while stationed in Panama on July 30, 1963. He worked for the Gates Rubber Company as a computer programmer for 30 years.
He was a devoted husband and father. He attended countless little league practices and games and coached several of his sons’ soccer teams. Later he took great joy in celebrating all his sons’ accomplishments and milestones, welcoming his daughters-in-law and grandchildren to the family.
Ed’s Funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Church in Lakewood, CO on June 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM. He was a man of great faith. He will be interred at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Golden the following morning with his immediate family in attendance.
