Eric spent his early and formative years in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he graduated from Albuquerque High School. He diligently continued his education at University of New Mexico where, in 2001, he would graduate, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy. This steadfast dedication would lead to a 22 year career as a pharmacist working with Walgreens & Walmart.
Eric was an avid traveler and enjoyed exploring the globe with his family. Their travels often lead them to tropical getaways including the beautiful beaches of Cancun, Hawaii, and the Bahamas. Ever industrious with his time, Eric also possessed an incredible talent for handy-work. A talent that he shared with his family and his friends, by making crown molding for various projects.
Eric is remembered for his sweet, joyful, and caring nature. Those that knew Eric best knew him to be smart, hard-working, and the life of every party. Eric was a loving and caring man whose spirit will be greatly missed as a beloved father, son, brother, and a friend.
Eric is survived by his daughter Chloe Phan; and his son Norton Phan; his father Nghiep Phan and his mother Nghia Bui; his sister Lynn Chavez, his brother-in-law Miguel Chavez, his brother Vu Phan and his sister-in-law Chinh Dinh; his niece Milynn Chavez, his nephew Lucas Chavez, his niece Jennifer Phan and his niece Jolene Phan.
A Buddhist ceremony for Eric will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, Arizona 85338, followed by a visitation and viewing from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
