George Stanley Wilhite

George “Jake” Wilhite, born July 13, 1954, in Cortez, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at his home in Arlington, Arizona, surrounded by his loving family.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents, Lila Wilhite and George L. Wilhite, as well as his brother, Timothy Wilhite.

He is survived by his four children: Jason Wilhite of Buckeye, Arizona; Stacey Wilhite of Arlington, Arizona; Amy Wilhite of Rimrock, Arizona; and Cassie Baker of Buckeye, Arizona. He also leaves behind his siblings, Linda Glendenning of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; Murrell Wilhite of Buckeye, Arizona; and Mary Wilhite of Buckeye, Arizona, as well as his spouse, Barbara Wilhite of Buckeye, Arizona.

Jake was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

Jake will be remembered for his presence, his love for family, and the memories he created with those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Visitation and Viewing will be held at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear Arizona, 85338 at 10:00 A.M. Friday January 30th, 2026. A Funeral Service will immediately follow beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment is scheduled at 12:30 P.M. that same day at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, 23100 W. Broadway Road, Buckeye Arizona, 85326. Those wishing to send flowers may do so through Thompson’s Funeral Chapel.
