Linton was born on April 27, 1946 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Richard and Madeline Park. He graduated from Farrington High School in Honolulu, where he served as senior class president. He later received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and graduated in 1968 with a degree in Engineering. Linton worked for 45 years as a field application engineer and retired from Texas Instruments.
On April 20, 1986, Linton married Mary Beth Pepper and together they shared 39 years of marriage. They raised daughters Noelle Hense and Soonie Landschoot, son Toby Park and stepdaughters Tracy Olson and Kristina Vommero. He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Dana Park.
Linton was known for his quiet strength, helpful nature and servant’s heart. He was always willing to lend a hand and was a thoughtful listener. His faith in the Lord Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life, and he lived as a faithful follower of Christ.
Linton enjoyed vacationing with his grandchildren, especially anywhere near water—oceans, lakes or rivers. He had a deep love for music, playing both the guitar and ukulele and enjoyed a wide range of musical styles. He was active in several community groups, including a local ham radio club, the Republican Party organization, a men's Bible study and mixed Bible study groups.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Park, his children and stepchildren and his sister, Dicksie Tamanaha.
