We appreciate with life being so busy and distance being a factor for us that we have missed out on establishing contact with Moms side of the family. We send our deep Condolences and are thankful that the Resurrection hope gives us peace. Please send our love to the Family

Bertie was my good friend from Barbican Road,Jamaica,we grew up together he had the coolest parents. We both migrated to the US.Some years later I was interduced to his beautiful wife Doreen.

My children and I will miss “Bertie” my friend RIP.

We are so, so sad to lose our very dear Uncle Bertie who we loved and truly respected. As one of God's children on the Earth he was truly a gift to his wife, his family, his community and I am sure everyone around him or in his presence at anytime like me was truly privileged.
On several visits I was very impressed when I saw we had almost the identical jazz music collection! He had amazing taste in jazz & the arts!
I pray that Aunt Doreen and the whole family and the small ones keep going on in the strength that Uncle Bert had built around everyone.

Dear Uncle Bertie,
You will always be remembered as a great brother to my mother Phyllis. She loved and trusted in you so much as a great friend and confidant. 

On the few occassions we were together I always felt alive and 
 happy around you.  You were such a positive force to my mother, myself and my children too.

Many memories flow as I sit here on the day before you are laid to rest. I was born a year before he left for America I still vividly remember Christmas times and other moments the family celebrate birthdays or wedding anniversary or the birth of another family. He would always make a positive  input  to share his joy. I would look forward to Christmas, when he would send us toys from the states. I was always looking forward to the toys. 
He shared a very special relationship with my dad- Rello. . There are no words to describe his joy to visit his brother during his many return to the Island. The memories are causing me to choke up. Uncle Berty was my like my second dad. His love for me was unconditional and endless. I was always so certain of this. . He is a kind, gentle, tolerant, resilient, and will be forever missed. I last saw him on my visit to Orlando in August 2019. The humility of the man still rings loudly and that moment reinforce what has made him such an important part of my life. The commitment to family cannot be described in the note. I will forever love you and devote my life to living by one of your strong motto; "marriage is a work in progress. This next few sentence is dedicated to his wife, aunty Doreen. The stalwart in his corner and the woman who showed me how to stay firm in my resolve to protect family. Aunty Doreen you are one of my strongest sign post. Your dedication to family is unmatched. Thank you for sharing so much with me. Thank you for sharing your graceful spirit with me. Thank you so much. I am humbled more than ever to pursue a life dedicated to hold family together, by any means necessary. Uncle B, I was always trying to make every moment and every word we share reinforce a genuine  need to support a passionate love and care for my family. 
I never understood much of my family tree and I depended on you to ensure I learnt more. I wish we had more time to talk. Rest well. You are my guiding ⭐

My dear cousin Bertie. You are now  in the arms of the Lord, happily greeting your Mom, siblings and other family members that journeyed ahead of you. You have lived a good  life. May the angels now take you into paradise. May eternal rest be granted onto you and may your soul rest in peace now and forever because you have fought the good fight and is deserving of everlasting life. May God also protect your family Doreen, Garfield, Kirt and Greg and all the other loved ones you have left behind. We ask you dear Lord to Comfort and give them peace and solace at this time. 


A most congenital, generous and kind cousin, “Bertie” as his late mom, our Aunt Kathleen called him, and we also, brought a lot of spirituality and joy to our lives both as we were growing up and even when I would make telephone calls to him and his now widow, Doreen, recently.
 Garfield and Kirk I share the loss of your dad.  The whole Campbell family -  (Our late mother Mavis Campbell was Aunt Kathleen’s only sister) - shares his home-going and offers prayers and condolences to every other  family member at this time.
May his loving soul Rest In Peace in Jesus’s arms for all Eternity. Amen!

Kirk, sorry to hear about your dad.  Condolences to you and your family.

First I want to say from the Whiles family, our Condolences to the family and you are in our prayers. I know Mr. Hammond through Kirk and Paulette, who we also consider family. He and I often spoke about tech computer stuff and different types of food, and he made us laugh. Rest in peace Mr. Hammond you will be missed, and I know you will be always smiling down on us.

Usually, I’m a wordsmith but now I’m lost for words and typing this message  with tears streaming down my face.  It’s so hard to say goodbye 😞 to my grand uncle, my father, my best friend. I will forever cherish all the memories we shared. Until we meet again, Rest in Heavenly Peace Dad.I’m glad I had the chance to tell you how much I love and appreciate you.. 

It’s never goodbye, it’s until we meet again pops!!! Sigh!!!!
