

Alden Duncan Council, Sr., 89, of Oviedo, Florida was called to heaven, March 28, 2022. Al was born in St. Pauls, N.C., to the late Bernice and Emma Council. He served on Border Patrol as an Army Ranger with the Big Red 1, 1st Infantry Division. Al traveled the United States teaching Business Management and Sales. He also owned his own Stainless Steel Cookware Company. Al loved building things, and built his own house almost totally by himself in less than three months. He loved to make people laugh, by telling jokes, scaring the kids, or just his sincere love of people. Al Council was no ordinary man. If he walked in a room, you knew it. He was a giver….. to animals, strangers, friends, family, and church. But most of all, Al gave of himself. The most important thing in his life was God, knowing God, and spending time with God.
Al is preceded by his five brothers and five sisters, Archie Council, Kenneth Council, James Council, Rodney Council, Joseph Preston Council (J.P.), Jean Edwards, Peggy Hall, Barbara Foxworth, Dale Thorndyke, and Mary Jane Council.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy Council; sons, Alden Council, Jr. (Maggie), and David Council; Grandchildren, Jennifer Grimes (Brian), Bradley Council (Rebecca), Ashley Council, Cameron Council, and Dalton Council; Great-Grandchildren, Tyler McHaffie, Jayden Grimes, Kanyon Council, and Colton Council; sister Dorothy Smith; and sister-in-law, Nancy Lovelace.
