Alice M. Parker

Alice Parker, 89, Orlando, Florida passed away on May 15, 2013 peacefully at Magnolia Woods Assisted Living from heart disease. Alice was a devoted wife and mother. Alice was born in Grandy, NC May 20, 1923 she was the daughter of Samuel McCarthy and Hilda M. Hart. She is survived by one brother Roger Mihovch. Her oldest brother, Andy Mihovch, who preceded her in death just last month. She met and married her husband of 70 years, Claude E. Parker on December 31, 1939. He preceded her in death in 2010. She will be missed dearly. Even after she raise 6 children she went back to school and earned her practical nursing degree. Alice loved travelling with Claude from coast to coast in their RV and meeting with family members. Alice is survived by 4 living children Gayle Humphries (Ed) of Clermont, Marjorie (Jim) Anderson and Ron Parker both of Orlando and Janis Parker of Palm City. Also surviving are her two daughters-in-law Sandy Parker (Jerry Parker) and Patricia Parker (Gary Parker): her nine grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
