Alicia Chalfant

Ms. Chalfant was born on September 28, 1928 in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She enjoyed dancing, sweet red wine, and loved flowers and trees. She was an avid animal lover, especially dogs, cats, and birds.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother that will be deeply missed.

Ms. Chalfant is preceded in death by her parents, Eduard and Prvidencia Fuentes.

Survivors include her sons, Charles Schelmety, Jr. and his wife Evelyn, and Douglas Schelmety; sister, Luz Miriam Loyola; grandchildren, Jonathan Schelmety and Stephanie Schelmety, and a great granddaughter, Madison Sofia Baker.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 am on Monday September 9, 2019 at Woodlawn Funeral Home. A Christian Prayer service will follow visitation at 11 am. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park at noon.
