Anastasia Mary Lowell

Born 9/15/1926 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Sarah (Sadie) Cole and Bernard Joseph Hickey.

She was a homemaker, the mother of nine children. A lifelong learner she was an avid reader and especially enjoyed non-fiction works. She was a great cook and was always trying new recipes while also making favorites for her large family. She was a first generation US citizen with both of her parents being from Newfoundland, Canada. She enjoyed telling stories of Holyrood in Newfoundland where she lived for several years in her youth.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Kenneth Wilbert Lowell, her son Michael Eugene Lowell and her brothers Patrick Joseph, Bernard and Leonard Hickey. She is survived by her sons Robert (Judy), Thomas Joseph (Jacqueline), Timothy (Kay) and her daughters Joan (Keith) Billings, Barbara Bellinger, Carol (Bert) McCumber, Diane (Edward) Elliott, and Eileen (John) Wagner, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Committal Service will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
