

Arthur L. Berry, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on January 13, 2025. Arthur was born, in a town he loved dearly, Fair Haven. He graduated from Rumson High School, Rumson, NJ. He served in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1955. Arthur worked at the United Startes Post Office for 32 years passing every civil service test until he became Grade 16 Quality Control Manager. His proudest achievement was the implementation of the Zon Improvement Plan known as the Zip 4 Program. Arthur was a member of the Fisk Chaple, Fair Haven, NJ for over 60 years where he served as a Trustee and Usher and after moving to Florida a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Eatonville, FL for 10 years.
Arthur was married to the late Evelyn Smith Berry. From this union, they had Cherly A. Washington and Arthur L. Berry III.
Arthur leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife, Geraldine Berry; our combined family: his daughters, Cheryl Washington, Lorry James and Lihua Smith; Sons, Arthur L. Berry III; Craig D. Smith, and William James; grandchildren, Lawrence Washington, Abril Suffill, Andrew Berry, Autumn Berry, Shacrai Jackson and Ying Smith; great grandchildren, Laurabia, Justice, Empress, Ka'D'vine and Nova; nephew, Jon (Pete) Berry; Nieces, Gayle Crawford, Phyliss Berry, Dawn Berry, Sophia Penn and Michelle West; cousins, Audry Reevey, Shirley Reevey, Floyd Reevey, Kelli Reevy; sister in laws, Carol Berry, Gloria Currey Williams, Joyce Branch and Jean Leach and a host of relatives and friends.
Arthur would want me to acknowledge his nurse, medical assistants, activity staff, kitchen staff, his special friend, Maria and residents that he loved dearly at Lake Bennet Center for Rehabilitation and healing. Your dedication, kind patience and medical expertise for Arthur was remarkable. His parting words to all of you would be "Never forget- You are doing a Good Job"
The funeral services will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734 on Friday, January 24, 2025at 11:00am. He will be buried with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, may be made to the Alzheimer's Assocation.
