She was born in Defuniak Springs, Florida on March 31, 1942 to the late Andrew Seaborn and Clara Aleen Price and was the youngest of six siblings.
Avis was a woman of deep faith and her greatest joy was the family she said God blessed her to be born into. She married her sweetheart Connie at the tender age of 14 in Lake Wales, Florida, and they spent 50 years together raising children, spoiling grandchildren, and traveling life’s bumpy road, savoring the valleys and the vistas. She lived the majority of her life in Orlando and Apopka.
Avis was a homebody and known for being a voracious reader; if she was home there was likely a book in her hands. She enjoyed thrifting, and spending time with dear friends with whom she shared faith and laughs over coffee, meals and games. Any time with her nieces and “sister cousins” held a special place in her heart. Above all, she relished precious time with her children, grandchildren and an extended family of loved ones, and can be found in many photos holding the newest baby to love.
She was convicted in her love of God, and her constant prayer was that her children and grandchildren would be saved and confident of the beautiful reunion they would have in heaven.
Avis focused on being a homemaker when her children were young, and at various times owned a custom drapery business and used furniture store, also working as a line lead in electronics. After retiring, she volunteered at a church thrift store for many years, which cultivated in several special abiding friendships.
Avis was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Leon, son Steven Michael, daughter Frances Anita, granddaughter Jennifer Marie, and siblings AJ, Coleman, Nadine, Nathan and Olan. She is survived by her children Leon Toole (Ruth) and Tracy Toole (Roger); grandchildren Kayla, Kirstin, Logan, Tiffany, Steven, Justin, Miranda, Raef, Jason and 11 great grandchildren. There are no words to describe how much she was loved and treasured, and the impact she made on so many lives will surely endure for generations.
