

Barbara Jean Burris, 80, of Casselberry, Florida, passed away on March 7, 2025. She was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on April 21, 1944, to Richard and Mae Bobbett, who have both preceded her in death. She was married to Hoy Burris on September 30, 1961 in Celina, Tennessee. Hoy and Barbara attended Aloma Church in Winter Park, Florida.
For most of her career, Barbara worked as a comptroller for the Norwegian company Elsafe in Orlando, Florida. Barbara had many creative pursuits over the years as an avid sewer and cake decorator, as well as being a good neighbor to so many who lived around her.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hoy Burris and 3 daughters: Delana Johnson (Ed), Darla Earnest, and Melissa Cox (Craig). She was preceded in death by her daughter Denise Dyce. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Ryan Garcia (Marcos), Scott Dyce (Danielle), Alex Dyce (Shannon), Zachary Dyce, Rachel Pellerin (Cody), Madison Clarke, Lukas Earnest, Rosalie Earnest, Laynie Foskett (Josh), and Kaytlin Cox as well as 12 great-grandchildren: Jordan, Isabella, Hudson, Elise, Aaliyah, Liam, Brooke, Gemma, Ella, Hunter, Bennett, and McKenna. She is also survived by her sister, Roberta Lawrence.
A visitation for Barbara will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd, Gotha, FL 34734.
